FAQs

What is the children to coach ratio?
At our holiday camps we take up to a maximum of six children to one coach on a court.

What should they wear?
Comfortable (preferably white) tennis clothing and appropriate for the weather. Sun cream and hat needed in hot weather.

Do we need to send a packed lunch?
At full day camps children will require a healthy and substantial packed lunch with extra snacks for break times and a refillable drinks bottle. Morning camps will need snacks and a drink though no lunch. We enforce a strict no nut policy to protect children with allergies.

What should they not bring?
Money, mobile phones and valuables.

Can I book my child for any less than a full camp?
We strongly believe that for each child to get the most out of a camp they must attend every day however camps are bookable per day.

Do you provide an early drop off and late pick up?
Yes we are aware that a lot of parents still work during the school holidays so we do provide childcare at a cost of £10/hour at certain times of the day. Please see the 'Racquets & Extras' category here for more information.

Why do some camps start at 9am and others 10am?
Junior Camps (4 1/2 - 8 years) are just 3/4 sessions so hence the earlier start. Intermediate (8 to 12 years) are a full day though we do offer an early drop off and late pick up service as explained above.

How will you allocate the groups and can I request two children to go together?
Children will be put into groups depending on their age and ability. Yes it is fine to ask for two children to go together, please make a note of this where prompted on the booking form.

Who are the coaches?
We only recruit the highest calibre coaches who have tennis and/or teaching backgrounds. They will be PTR/LTA qualified and/or have qualified teacher status. Head Coaches receive an enhanced DBS clearance and all our coaches are reference-checked.

What happens if it rains?
In the event of bad weather the coaches will do their best to work around the timing to complete the programme however the courts can become unplayable meaning we may have to go inside. We have a fun and structured indoor wet weather plan at most of our venues.

If a camp is fully booked is there a waiting list?
Yes, it is possible to add your child to a waiting list. Please call us and we can also search to see if we can find an alternative camp that may suit your needs.

How much pizza and what type?
Our pizzas come from Pappa & Ciccia and we order Margarita only. 12 inches and it works out as three slices per child though always lots left over!  Pizzas are ordered on the Friday of a full camp week for Intermediate groups only.
